Soldering has a long and rich history in Chinese culture. The ancient Chinese were skilled metalworkers and used soldering techniques to create intricate metal sculptures and artwork, including decorative bronze vessels, ceremonial weapons, and architectural features. In addition to artistic applications, soldering was also used in Chinese inventions and technological advancements. For example, the compass, one of China’s most famous inventions.
Today, China remains a major player in the world of electronics manufacturing, with a significant portion of the world’s electronics components and devices produced there. As a result, soldering has become an important skill for Chinese workers in this industry.
Our workshop is inspired by the rich history of Chinese inventions in electronics and technology. In this workshop, your child will have the opportunity to learn the basics of soldering and electronics. Led by experienced instructors, our workshop is designed to be fun and educational, giving kids the chance to explore their creativity while learning valuable skills in electronics and soldering. The second part of the workshop is dedicated to learning the basic software programming to make the eyes of the Fosdem85 penguin blink using the Arduino IDE. At the end, they’ll get to take home their own electronic project as a keepsake.
Don’t miss this opportunity to give your child a fun and engaging introduction to the world of electronics and soldering. Sign up today and let the adventure begin!
